Just thought I'd share some pictures from yesterday's screening! It was a really good one this year and the fresh graduates have definitely raised the bar! Congrats to all of you guys for producing such wonderful work! It gives me great hope for the future of the industry in Australia and in Brisbane in particular!
Amongst my favourites of the night were: 'Knightmouse' (by Josh Huf, Max Cowen and Josh Anguix) 'Defective Detective' (by Andy Copeland, John Grist, Luke Mathers and Francis Stanton) and my pick of the bunch was Samuel Lewis stop-motion jewel: 'Here be Treasure' (exactly the type of short-film that festivals dig!).

Capoeira flyer design

Hey friends,

Here is the final look for the advertising campaign I worked on for the Capoeira group led by Contra Mestre Eurico in Brisbane and Coolangatta. It took abit of refining but thanks to Eurico's feedback we are pretty happy with the end result. The idea was to show the diversity capoeira as to offer as an art form: Capoeira is a mix of Dance, Music, martial arts, and acrobatics.
The blending off all these aspects and off all the different people from various backgrounds, gender and races who practice capoeira all over the world is also reflected in each illustration and within the look of the title.

Marvel Motion comic

Ola Blog!
Been playing abit with After effects lately and thought that this Aniboom contest would be a good exercise. The idea was to create a moving comic from a number of static pages supplied by Marvel.
I'm actually not really into American comics (more of a European connaisseur) but this was quite fun. Too bad there wasn't enough spare time to do abit more on this...

Had an interesting session tonight with a clothed model wearing a 1920's dress and a clown/ballerina costume during the second half.

Birthday Flash e-card

A birthday e-greeting card done entirely in Flash.
It took less than a week to make.
The idea is to have the end text dynamic so that you can type in your loved one's name.
